Choice is the real key to resolving many stresses.

Where there is choice, there is balance and

where there is balance,

there is also optimal health

Kinesiology Definition

“The human organism is a complex integrated system in that to achieve true healing and establish optimal function, all aspects of our being must be addressed.” (G. Dickson)

Kinesiology, literally the study of body movement, encompasses holistic health disciplines, which use gentle, manual, muscle monitoring to determine information about a person’s well being.

What is Kinesiology?

Kinesiology combines Western techniques with Eastern wisdom, to balance a person. Although through its dual East-West roots, Kinesiology actually extends back thousand of years.

Where did Kinesiology originate from?

Thousands of years ago humans were more in tune with their bodies. They could interpret messages the body was sending and deal with issues immediately. As we’ve moved away from this intuitive way of being, some of us now need help in interpreting what our body is telling us.

Initial research began in the U.S. in the 1930's and was expanded in the 1960's by chiropractors embracing techniques derived from Chinese medicine using acupressure and meridian systems to promote physical, emotional and spiritual health.

How does it work?

"An illness is the body sending a message that something needs to be taken care of – that whatever is not being cared for, is causing stress in the system and that the system’s vital force energy is not in a balanced state." (G. Stokes)

After comprehensive history taking the practitioner uses muscle monitoring to address energy imbalances.

An unlocking muscle test indicates a disturbed energy flow - be it structural, chemical, nutritional, mental, emotional or spiritual. This stress may manifest in the person as some form of disease, an accident, poor nutritional or postural habits, an unresolved argument, personal trauma or crisis, even as a misunderstanding. Stresses can also carry over from any time in the client's life.

A Kinesiologist’s role is to assist you by bringing long forgotten incidents to your conscious mind. We never forget these incidents as our survival-oriented structure means we hold all memories, particularly negative experiences, somewhere in our system. Awareness is the first step in being able to shift problems. Once you become aware of what your emotional triggers are, you have the chance to re-evaluate the event and circumstances surrounding it. Using the context of your current life experience, you are now in a position to change your response and choose a new and more relevant response.

In doing this, we’re able to stop the pattern of recreating the same situation over and over again, thereby being able to move forward in your life.

What results can I expect?

Each session is unique because it is determined by the responses gained from the individual.
Kinesiology can relieve pain, stress, muscular and nervous disorders, detect allergies and nutritional deficiencies, assist with psychological and learning problems, stimulate energies and release untapped potential.
